 The proposal submitted in the period before the agenda by the Mayor, the independent Rui Moreira, highlights the work of Mariano Gago in science.
 

 With this proposal, the camera provided a “fair and deserved homage” to the former Minister of Science and Higher Education.
 

 Mariano Gago died on Friday at his home in Lisbon, age 66, victim of sudden illness.
 

 José Mariano Gago Rebelo Pires was born in Lisbon on May 16, 1948.
 

 He was Minister of Science of Science and Technology in 1995 and 2002, and Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education, 2005-2011.
