Facebook launches Instant Articles, tool for content producers to create and publish texts within the social network

This Wednesday (13), Facebook has finally announced the Instant Articles, a new product of the social network aimed at publishers, so they create materials within Facebook. The intent of Mark Zuckerberg to have more journalistic content right on your site had already been reported by The New York Times in March. For now, the new feature is only available for those with iPhone. In the disclosure, Facebook does not disclose when will be running on Android.

According to posting on the official Facebook blog these stories to media outlets took around eight seconds to load, being by far the slowest type of content on Facebook. The Articles Instant makes the experience of reading them is ten times faster than the average mobile web materials of time according to the company.

Along with this faster experience, Instant Articles features a variety of functions that gives content publishers new ways to publish their stories. The user can zoom in on high-resolution photos just tilting your phone. You can also watch videos that are played automatically as you scroll through content. Explore interactive maps and explanatory audio, and enjoy and comment on specific parts of a story.

Facebook is working with nine partners in launching Instant Articles:. The New York Times, National Geographic, BuzzFeed, NBC, The Atlantic, The Guardian , BBC, Spiegel and Bild.
