Production of the new iPad postponed to September
Apple will delay the start of the new production of the iPad, which will feature a larger screen of 12.9 inches, due to problems in the supply of panels, according to Bloomberg.
The US giant Apple had planned to start production of the new iPad, with a 12.9-inch screen, in the first quarter. However, some supply panels related problems will require the technology to delay the process for September, according to Bloomberg.
One of the main new features of Apple’s new tablet relates to the screen. The current iPad devices have 9.7 inches while the mini iPad is 7.9 inches.
The bet Tim Cook (pictured) to launch a larger tablet is intended to compensate the drop for four consecutive quarters of sales of these devices and also strengthen Apple’s position in the corporate segment. The new iPad with a 12.9-inch screen may be a solution to replace laptop computers in offices.
This strategy follows the partnership between Apple and IBM, once rivals, to develop more than 100 applications for the corporate segment.
