NASA launches successfully mission to study magnetic field … – Digital Journal



NASA launched today, successfully, a pioneering mission to study the interaction of the Earth’s magnetic field with other celestial bodies like the sun.

The launch of the mission, with two-year and valued at 1,100 million dollars (1,036 million euros), from the base of Cape Canaveral, Florida, took place at 22:44 local (02:44 in Lisbon ).

“The heads of mission expect to receive confirmation of successful upload of four space artifacts at about 00:29 local (04:44 in Lisbon), said the US space agency said in a statement.
