Azores Central Group with heavy rain forecast – RTP

 Between 14:00 and 18:00 today, the Western group (Flores and Corvo) is with yellow warning, the third less serious a scale of four, due to the forecast of heavy rainfall on time.
 

 The same reason led the IPMA put under yellow warning the Central Group (Faial, Pico, Graciosa, São Jorge and Terceira) between 21:00 and 18:00 today Sunday.
 

 Today, in a statement, the Regional Civil Protection and Fire Service Azores recalled that the possible impact of the effects of rain can be minimized by adopting appropriate behavior, so that, particularly in the most vulnerable areas, recommends the observation and dissemination of main measures of self-protection for these situations.
 

 Among the measures recommended by the civil protection is “clearing the flow of water systems and the removal of inert and other objects that can be dragged or create barriers to the free flow”.
 

 Civil protection still asks to be kept “clean drainage systems” which are consolidated “roofs, doors and windows.”
