A man suffered serious injuries today, with amputation of an arm in a car accident in North Freeway, in the municipality of Santarém, said the agency Lusa source of the District Relief Operations Command.
According to the source, the victim “walks in the 20s” and traveling in a light vehicle that crashed in the south to north, three miles before the Santarém service area, along with two others, who suffered minor injuries.
The screening took place at about 18:25 and forced to cut North Freeway in both directions, between 19:05 and 20:05, so that the seriously injured could be evacuated in a helicopter INEM to the Hospital of St. Joseph, in Lisbon.
At 20:10, the traffic was still cut in the south-north route for cleaning.
