Samsung will “recycle” used phones and sell them as “new” – SAPO Tek

Instead of putting them in the “drawer”, Samsung wants to get on mobile phones that are returned under plans annual exchange of brand equipment, and put them back on the shelves, at prices lower than the original.

An anonymous source Reuters says that, at a time when the global market for smartphones appears to be reaching a saturation point, Samsung wants to energize your revenue stream and maintain an operating margin above 10 %. And what better way to achieve this than reusing equipment?

According to reports, the recovered smartphones will be changed, although not yet know what this really means, or what parts, for sure, will be replaced or modified. At the moment, the models in question also are still unknown.

They are also unknown markets where these mobile phones will be sold, but it is known that the Samsung Annual devices exchange program is only available in Korea South and the United States.

This reuse program can act as a catalyst for the growth of the South Korean brand, which is now ahead of Apple in terms of smartphone sales. As the TeK reported, Samsung sold over 32 million devices than Apple during the second quarter of this year.
