Facebook and Unity work on new gaming platform for computer – Tech & Net

Facebook announced that it is currently working on developing a new gaming platform for computers, the result of a partnership with Unity. This partnership will make it extremely easy and fast export and publish games on Facebook from Unity.

“This partnership will allow developers Unity quickly offer their games to more than 650 million players who enjoy the games connected to Facebook every month. “said Facebook in their statement.
There are still no confirmed information about the final plans of Facebook, but if one of your goals is to make your gaming platform a global success and compete directly with similar platforms (eg Steam), surely the giant library of games Unity will be a good start.

the Facebook integration will only work with games that use the Unity 5.4 or higher version that was released earlier this year and it brings great visual improvements, performance, integration, and also in virtual reality compatibility.
