One of Google’s main efforts for this year was the presentation and launch of its new video application, Google Duo. You referenced by us a few days ago, the Duo is in the top position # 1 of free applications from the Play Store.
CEO of Google, Sundar Pichai, came to announce via Twitter that the number of application installations exceeded 5 million in just one week and could not have better started this new attempt in the world of video communications, already dominated by other applications such as Facebook and Snapchat. And that the more people have the largest installed application is the probability that we can find in our contact people with the same application and be able to communicate via the Duo.
Please note that this kind of functionality already existed some time ago in Google Hangouts. Apparently and according to some rumors, as is the way to version 1.0.1 to fix some existing bugs. For now, we are still in the original version released last week
