It is taking place during the day, Microsoft Game Dev Camp in Lisbon.
The event takes place at Microsoft facilities located in the Park Nations where, for the second consecutive year, Microsoft brings together some of the best producers of domestic video games and many interested in the topic.
As it could not be the Pplware is present at the event and brings you the first part of a day that is to be memorable.
Microsoft Game Dev Camp
Microsoft Game Dev Camp is taking place in Lisbon, in Microsoft’s facility is the second time this event is held. It can be said that 2014 was the year of the debut but this year is certainly the consecration.
This event aims to monitor and encourage the development of video games in Portugal. The initiative also involves the creation of the necessary conditions for more domestic games will emerge and that most studios are going to be getting up and launch their ideas. It is undoubtedly a gaming event for producers and video game lovers.
If last year’s event has been a success the 2015 most successful being … both in presentations and their content, number of visitors, brands and speakers invited … the agenda of Microsoft Game Dev Camp 2015 (which can be accessed here) is filled with many good reasons for all who go to the Nations Park leave satisfied.
With beginning at 9:30 am the host Miguel Vicente (Microsoft) gave the kick-off to Microsoft Game Dev Camp 2015. In this presentation (keynote) that took just over 1 hour and a half, Miguel gave all present a sense of what this day will be for visitors and guests.
Miguel Vicente gave so the motto and in a very relaxed manner beginning with a brief analysis of last year’s event, far exceeding all expectations gave greater strength and motivation for achievement of this year.
And, as was can check inloco , the number of participants and 2015 edition of the visitors was clearly a success … just in Keynote the room quickly filled and many of the spectators had to stand on the side walls, the stairs and the background. A room that will take far more than 300 people was filled with eager staff by the news that they would emerge soon.
35 high quality speakers
On the menu, more than 35 speakers ( a few more surprises along the way) pointing to a full day of fun, revelations, emotion and games … many games.
Miguel Vicente then continued his early stage of presentation, making a brief reference to partnerships that enabled realization of this event, mentioning brands like MiniClip, Gamelof, Nerd Monkeys, InDot, among others.
Then Miguel Vicente invited onstage Caroline Philips, Director for the area of Development and Entrepreneurship. Caroline, who joined Microsoft with the clear objective of further approaching the company of the producers (developers, IT professionals, startups and students) began to reveal that Portugal is able to gradually get out of the lethargy that existed.
According to figures presented by Caroline, the last 3 years Portugal has developed more games in the last 30 years. It is a sign no doubt that Portugal has the value and potential … sometimes lack the courage and the necessary capital.
The next to be called to the stage was Petri Wilhelmsen, a Microsoft Program Manager Norwegian that we again find later and in this his first time made some words about User Interfaces of video games and the way that the Universal Windows Platform platform is particularly important in the development of Windows on games.
In addition to also mention some of the development advantages with the Windows APIs 10 (which allow cross-platform development) still showed some peculiarities of the latest Visual version Studio that can be used to improve the game development with this tool.
The cloud in video game development

Luis Calado also said the whole set of gains that services Microsoft cloud make it possible for developers, both the communication level (TCP, UDP, …), interoperability (Twilio, Sendgrid, …), metrics, Game Services (Facebook, Twiter, …).
ID @ Xbox
However, a brief climb the stage for Agostino Simonetta, responsible European by @ Xbox ID, the program that allows independent developers of video games publishing games on Xbox One console and the new Windows 10.

What is being done around here
“ Smash Time ” Bica Studios, “ Greedy Guns” of Uncle Tuna Studios, “ Drawn to Light “the B5 Studios,” Quest of Dungeons “ of Upfall Studios … were some of the featured titles.
