Seven municipalities at very high risk of fire – The Ball

The municipalities of Alcoutim, Faro, Silves, Monchique, Aljezur, Odemira and Sines are on Monday with very high fire risk, according to information available on the site of the Sea Portuguese Institute and the Atmosphere (IPMA).

Last Sunday, the National Civil Protection Authority (ANPC) recorded 26 fires were fought by 237 operating with the support of 76 vehicles.

The ANPC concerns in a statement that, in areas where the risk index Fire is superior to the high level, you may not realize or burned bonfires, burn cut and piled woods, launch rockets and smoking or naked flames in the forest areas. The use of burning and combustion equipment is also prohibited.

For this Monday is expected on the mainland, sky slightly overcast or clean, appearing generally cloudy with mist or fog on the coast north of Cabo Raso until the early morning. The wind will be weak, moderate blowing from the southeast in the Algarve until late afternoon and northwest in the western coastal strip in the afternoon.

It also included a small rise in temperature in the northern and central regions.
