A road surveillance operation conducted by PSP Lisbon, between 4 and 9 am on Sunday, culminated in the arrest of eight people from alcohol abuse.
In addition to the arrests, 48 people were fined for speeding and other 19 per excess alcohol.
In a statement, PSP explained that 30 agents were deployed and more than two dozen vehicles.
