MEO Fan Event 2016 will begin on April 23 at Campo Pequeno, Lisbon, and this year one of the main attractions for the thousands of visitors will be a full-scale replica of the most renowned ocean liner in the world, the Titanic, made entirely with LEGO pieces.
a replica of the Titanic made the 1:40 scale is composed of more than 220,000 LEGO pieces and it took about 3 months to be built by a team of four technicians of Bright Bricks. The team led by Ed Diment appealed the original Titanic plans to replicate the same in LEGO pieces reaching 7 meters long, 1 meter wide and 1.5 meters high. This replica also comes in conjunction with the celebration of 104 years (on 15 April) since the tragic incident that led to the sinking of the Titanic.
During the MEO Fan Event will still during a campaign of “crowdfunding” organized by the National Art Museum in order to buy here samba to work “Adoration of the Magi” by Domingos Sequeira. To participate in this action “crowdfunding” visitors will be able, through a 50 cent contribution, put two LEGO pieces on a panel where a particular focus of this work will be played.
MEO Fan Event will be held at Small field between 23 April and 1 May. The ticket price is 6 € from 11 years € 5 from 4 to 10 years and free for children up to 3 years. MEO clients have access to special conditions and may receive some offer tickets.
