Huawei VR: Chinese Giant enters the virtual reality market – Tech & Net

 
 
 
 

Huawei today announced in China during an event its new Huawei VR, which will be a direct competitor of already recognized Samsung Gear VR. The Chinese manufacturer finally decided to enter the race in the emerging market for virtual reality devices.

The great wonder that arises is, will the Huawei VR any differently Gear VR? Not really. The Huawei VR allows viewing videos in 360 degrees so as to play different types of games as you move your head spinning around the reality that surrounds it. The similarities do not end only by features, Huawei VR is so similar to the Gear VR will be difficult to make a quick distinction between the two devices.

Even the buttons are in the same places and with the same appearance, and the only way to distinguish the two devices is immediately by Samsung / Huawei. With very few details revealed by Huawei, it is known that so far the only difference is your USB Type-C as this device is compatible with the new Huawei P9 and P9 Plus.
