FBI paid “big money” to unlock California shooter iPhone – TSF Online

In total, it has more than one million euros. The director of the Federal Criminal Investigation Agency of the United States says it was money well spent.

At a conference in London the FBI director James Comey, admitted that he paid more than one million euros to circumvent Apple’s refusal to give the unlock code of iPhone mobile phones.

James Comey said he paid more than it will receive until the end of term at the head of the US agency. All in all the ordered receiving and seven who will continue in office, are 1.15 million euros.

Still, the director of the FBI, was money well spent because it allowed progress in the massacre of investigations San Bernardino, California. Furthermore, the software used to unlock the phone shooter will serve many future research.
