Swatch will launch a smartwatch releasing shipments – TeK.sapo

Swatch is one of the best known companies in the world of watches and is about to take the next step in the range of products to the technological world. In a telephone interview, a company representative confirmed that the manufacturer intends to launch a smartwatch within a maximum of three months.

Nick Hayek, CEO of Swatch, confirmed Thursday the arrival of a smart watch within “two to three months”, which will be marketed in two countries, details the Livemint site. The clock will dispense any type of loading, although integrate functions related to payments, communications and synchronization with dipositivos Android and Windows.

This is not the first time that a traditional watch brand shows interest in the segment of smart watches. Earlier this year, Montblanc had already submitted an accessory for your clocks that sync with smartphones, presents reports and monitoring data of physical activity. Even more unsuspected areas such as the automotive industry, have shown interest in the segment and entered into partnerships with other manufacturers to show that they are attentive to the trend, as it has recently LG and Audi.

In the case of Swatch, which you can see with the information already available is that the brand wants to make a statement, but will do so cautiously, choosing only two markets to debut its Smart Watch . The names of the selected markets have not been revealed.
