The central massif to the access roads of the Serra da Estrela reopened Tuesday to traffic, said the agency Lusa the source Snow Removal Centre (CLN), located in Piornos.
According to the source, the road was resumed by 13:30 in sections 11 (Piornos / Tower Crossing), 12 (Crossing Tower / Tower) and 13 (Long Pond / Tower Crossing), the highest point Serra da Estrela.
Those roads were closed to road traffic due to snowfall since 20:30 on Monday.
District Command Source of Relief Operations Guard said Lusa that the roads reopened to traffic at 12:30, conditional form, since it was only allowed to flow from all-terrain vehicles or equipped with chains.
