The CEO of Impresa, Peter Norton, said the first quarter of the group that owns the SIC was” very difficult ” as expected, but expressed his confidence in end 2015 to be profitable.

Consolidated revenue fell 10.4% to 50 million euros, said in a statement the company sent to the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM), and advertising decreased by 2% to EUR 24.3 million in the first quarter.

“It was a very difficult first quarter, as anticipated. The main reason for this negative net result was a reduction in revenues from IVR, motivated not only by the self-regulatory agreement between the three generalist TV, but also by bus from calls from telephone calls with participation, “said Peter Norton.

“Still, we are confident that we will end the year 2015 to consolidate our results and, as these recent years, to be profitable,” said the manager.

The Impresa had already anticipated in report and 2014 accounts that the first three months of this year would be marked by reduced revenues from phone-in competitions.
