Fuels more expensive from today – News Minute to

New year, new prices for fuel. After a few weeks of fall, the cost of diesel and petrol in Portugal will up now worsen from today, January 1, 2015, writes Radio Renaissance.

The entry into force of the Green Taxation will lead to a rise in fuel costs. Although it is not yet known the value that will be added to the price so far practiced, President of the Portuguese Association of Oil Companies (APETRO), Anthony Long, argues that the increases should be the order of the four cents, either in gasoline or diesel.

This increase is driven by taxes that will come into force as early as 2015 (Green Taxes and contributions on the service road) and counter the downward trend in recent days and that led, in some stations, a liter of diesel was sold at less than one euro.
