The TAP provides transport 70 passengers stranded in Cape Verde between now and Wednesday, standing for it dependent on changing weather conditions, said Lusa official source the airline.

The intense haze that is affecting the archipelago of Cape Verde left 222 passengers of air carriers of Portugal (TAP) and Cape Verde (TACV) without being able to travel, of which 70 have traveled with the Portuguese company according to Cape Verdean press.

Source TAP official explained that “if the TACV can carry passengers [TAP] of San Vicente island being more affected by haze, to Sal during the day, some follow today to Lisbon “.

“Otherwise, our expectation is to bring all passengers to Lisbon tomorrow [Wednesday] in regular flight from Sao Vicente to Lisbon,” added the same source.

All of these scenarios are dependent on the improvement of weather conditions, which have prevented the companies carry out regular air links since Saturday.

Still on Monday TAP tried to hold a special flight from the island of Sao Vicente to Lisbon, but the fog spoiled the plans of the carrier.

The National Institute of Meteorology and Geophysics (INMG) Cape Verde reported that the sky will remain cloudy over today, sometimes veiled, with the possibility of scattered precipitation.

The wind will blow moderate up to 30 km / h, the waves will be between 1.5 to 2.5 meters in height and minimum temperatures range between 19 and 21 degrees and the maximum between 00:25 degrees.

The haze is recorded when there is condensation of water vapor, mixed with dust or other pollutants.
