New York in November will receive the first awards ceremony of music from YouTube, the video sharing site that has changed the way we consume music in the world.

The YouTube Music Awards will be

broadcast on November 3 for the whole world and will have the presence of Lady Gaga, Eminem and Arcade Fire, who will sing live. The nominees will be announced on October 17th and the winners will be shared by more users.

The ceremony will honor artists and songs that have become hits in the last year. The performances on stage will join other artists in the industry and celebrities own virtual YouTube, as Lindsey Stirling and CDZA. Various performances and musical collaborations come from Seoul, Moscow, London and Rio de Janeiro, in a ceremony designed to emphasize the global reach of the platform.

MTV: 5 Portuguese artists named

The director Spike Jonze, who created the series Jack Ass, is the creative director of the event, presented by Jason Schwartzman. VICE Sunset Lane and entertainment will be executive producers.

The ceremony comes just days before the MTV Europe Music Awards, one of the most desired competition and the industry that this year takes place in Amsterdam.
