“Human Brain Project” will be developed in Switzerland

Bern – A new computer called the “Human Brain Project” (HBP, in its original acronym) will be developed by a team of scientists, in collaboration with 135 research institutions and government sector.
According to the project leader, Henry Markram, the aim of the new device is making computers thousand times faster than the processors now known.
Investing requires the amount of 1.6 billion dollars and the first steps of the project go take about ten years until they can perform the first tests.
The “Human Brain Project” will focus on research-intensive on brain function in man, especially in vision, hearing, learning and thinking, so that the functionality of the device reaches the maximum development possible.
