Apple announced on Friday (18) the recall of certain 2012 models of the MacBook Air because of problems encountered in SSD drives 64GB and 128GB.
The company has released a firmware update in the Mac App Store that tests the drive of your machine. If your computer is affected, Apple recommends that you backed up the data and that the machine be taken to an Apple Store or authorized reseller.
Apple did not say how many computers will be exchanged, but the company said the recall only affects MacBook Air purchased between June 2012 and June 2013.
If you purchased a MacBook Air in that period, immediately back up your data, run the test from Apple and if so, seek technical assistance from the company to schedule the repair of the device.
