U.S. Army develops fact the ‘Iron Man’
Armor has several similarities to the movie starring Robert Downey Jr.
The ‘Iron Man’ may leave the big screen to reality. Researchers from the U.S. Army are working on a project that will provide a superhuman strength to the soldiers, as well as greater resistance to bullets.
The project, dubbed ‘Light Operator Tactical Assault Suit’, or simply ‘TALOS’, aims to revolutionize the army equipment.
Admiral William McRaven, head of U.S. Special Operations, said that the entire project was conceived after the death of a soldier in Afghanistan.
“One of our comrades was killed by the Taliban after passing a door in a rescue attempt,” McRaven said.
To avoid similar situations in the future, the army drew this new fact bulletproof. Besides the ability to resist the shots, the armor is still equipped with a computer control system vitals and still allows the soldier to lift weights well above normal.
The demo video released by the U.S. Army closely resembles the fact created by the character Tony Stark, the saga ‘Iron Man’, which came to life in the film thanks to the interpretation of Robert Downey Jr. To be equal, they just need to give it the ability to fly.
