More than a thousand teachers began today near 16:00, down the Avenida da Liberdade in Lisbon, in a protest against professional wear, the conditions retirement, municipalization and other issues contested by the unions.
Teachers began to gather near the Marques de Pombal roundabout, at 14:30, but were looking for the shadows on the sides of Avenida da Liberdade to take shelter from the sun and intense heat registered in Lisbon.
The protest, organized by Education Platform, which aggregates eight union structures, including the Fenprof, ripped the sound of slogans like “Needless to say just the time wearing”, “value education, defending the profession”, “you have to respect those who live to teach” and “teachers needed can not be precarious.”
