The Government will replace conventional vehicles used by general government as electrical, through a program that is expected to start within a month, said on Friday, in Torres Vedras, Secretary of State for Energy.


                     


                          “The Government is preparing a program to replace conventional vehicles by electric vehicles in public administration,” said Artur Trindade, adding that the program is being finalized and is expected to enter into force within one month, in a progressive manner.

The Secretary of State was speaking at the end of the conference opening session of the international project Repute (Company Renewable Public Transport), which has been working on developing a pilot project, considered unique by articulating the public and private sectors.

According to him, if you adopt the use of electric vehicles in public administration, “the bill with fuel reduces dramatically.”
