Higher Education opens over 2000 vacancies for candidates without courses – TSF Online

According to the list of courses and respective list of vacancies in 2015 and 2014, released today by the Higher Education Department, you can find 83 courses returning to open almost the same number of vacancies in the 1st phase 2015 after failing they had no candidate in Phase 1, 2015. The reduction in supply is about 100 vacancies.

The courses are mostly areas of engineering and technology, some after work or night regime. Already in 2014 the same had happened with 88 courses to bring the 2405 contest vacancies without any candidate in the previous year, and again mainly from the engineering areas.

According to data from DGES relating to 1 ª round of applications to the national competition for access to higher education only 10 courses open less than 20 vacancies, most of which post-employment regime.

The course leads to more vacancies contest is Right, at the University of Lisbon, with 480 places available and is averaging almost 14 points of access. It follows law at the University of Coimbra, with 334 places.

There are 19 courses open at least 200 seats in the 1st phase of the national access competition. With regard to input notes 16 courses as average seek access notes between 9.5 and 10 points, including nursing courses in polytechnics of Bragança and Portalegre, or sciences of culture at the University of Beira interior.
