Entrance examination to higher education with 50,555 vacancies in the 1st stage – Digital Journal

The first phase of the national competition for access to higher education starts on Monday with 50,555 vacancies for joining the public universities and polytechnics, a lower number than in 2014, but it represents a slight fall.

According to data provided today by the General Directorate of Higher Education (Higher Education Department), there is less this year 265 places in state higher education in the 1st phase of the national access competition, given the 50,820 of in 2014, a reduction in percentage terms less than 1%.

The number of openings for access to public higher education is in decline since 2012, after in 2011 having reached a peak supply with 53,500 seats taken the competition
