At one application to the market that is intended to facilitate the day-to-day blind people. It’s called ‘Be My Eyes’, in Portuguese (either my eyes) and you want to make, volunteers through video calls in real time advise the blind people in the tasks of day-to-day.
This application, developed by Hans Jorgen Wiberg, a Dane, allows a blind person, through assistance by video, help you choose a product in a supermarket, check the expiration date, among other tasks.
This Hans Jorgen Wiberg project, which is not for profit, aims to make life easier for blind people offering them a better quality of life. Behind this application, will be volunteers who will help people in some of these tasks.
To qualify for aid, a call is made to one of the volunteers, and if one of the volunteers is not available, the call is forwarded to another volunteer.
This application is taking the first steps, and will certainly have a lot to grow. For now, this application is only available for Apple’s iOS. The application already has about 10,000 benificiários, which clearly shows its importance and usefulness.
