The Food Safety and Economic Authority (ASAE) seized on Friday in the Aveiro area, 28 tons of fishing products, valued at 175,000 euros, a factory that received immediate order of suspension.
In a statement released today, the ASAE reports that conducted an inspection operation in an industrial plant processing fish products, including cod, which had no valid title to some of the business practices.
On the other hand, the unit in question, located in Aveiro municipality, exercised unfair commercial practices, having been notified to immediate suspension of the storage activity and repackaging of fishery products.
Among the 28 tonnes of processed fish products that were seized are cod, migas or expensive.
