There may be at least two planets to be discovered in the Solar System – Journal News

If nothing exists beyond Neptune – the eighth and last in the official list of planets of the solar system, after the list of Pluto’s withdrawal – these space objects should be arranged in a uniform line orbiting at a distance of 22 500 million kilometers of the Sun

However, the observations of astronomers to the conclusion that some of these objects -. called trans-Neptunian – have unexpected orbital patterns and are at much greater distances than the Sun would be expected.

Astronomers postulate that there are celestial bodies the size of planets beyond the solar system known, which exert their gravitational pull on the trans-Neptunian objects.

“The their exact number is uncertain, since we have limited data, but our calculations suggest that there are at least two planets, probably more, in our solar system, “said Carlos de la Fuente Marcos, the Complutense University of Madrid.

Mark’s team tries to get the concrete evidence of the theory, saying that “if it is confirmed, it will be truly a revolution for Astronomy.”
