Twitter changes to display ‘best posts’ to update users – Digital Journal

Twitter announced a new feature on the platform that promises to update users about what happened in the social network during periods in which they were disconnected. The novelty is now available for iOS, Apple.

The company said it will soon be releasing the functionality to the Android system, Google, but did not specify the date. It was also not said if the option is available for Windows Phone.

The social network will select the “best tweets’ published in the period in which the user is not connected to your profile. “The selection will be based on engagement and other factors,” explained Paul Rosania, responsible for the service, the official Twitter blog.

“Our goal is to help you keep up to date with your world no matter how much time passes in Twitter. With some improvements in the timeline, we think we can do a better job of delivering that promise without compromising the nature of the network in real time. “

According Rosania, users who check the ‘publications feed» only a few times a day can access the “recap” more often. “For those who spend time in the service, the function will appear less often,” said
