LG G Flex is official with screen six inches vertically curved - TeK.sapo

LG officially unveiled the G Flex, a mobile phone with curved screen in the vertical direction, having a size of six inches and resolution HD. Despite the low resolution for a screen with such a large size, the South Korean manufacturer uses an OLED screen, which at least guarantees quality in color reproduction, while reducing energy consumption.

The Asian technological argues that the curvature of the screen allows the phone to best fit the user’s face, reducing the distance between the mouth and the microphone for example, and significantly improving the quality of the sound received. LG also speaks in an experiment similar to IMAX when the phone is used horizontally for watching videos.

In the aspect and the use of a flexible screen – in that it is curved and not in the sense that it is malleable – has the Flex L another prominent element. According to a statement from LG which is reproduced by Engadget, the phone has a back cover that autorregenera, being able to eliminate risks of thick hair in just a “few minutes”. Not sure how that will be the regenerative capacity of the back cover in deeper scratches and wider.

In the remaining specifications the LG G Flex is a top of the range phone and is not losing much to the G2, presented recently in Portugal. The Snapdragon processor is 800 to 2.26 Ghz, RAM is 2GB and internal storage is 32GB. The camera has 13 megapixels.

The smartphone will be launched initially in South Korea and will be available in three main operators in the country. In the statement the LG states that the availability in other markets will be announced later, leaving the idea that the G Flex can reach Europe and the USA. No information on the price.

Compared to the Round of Samsung Galaxy mobile phone from LG is set at the same level in terms of specifications. OG Flex can take advantage of an important field, with a battery of 3,500 mAh, 2,800 mAh against smartphone from Samsung.
