After years of mystery, does the creator of bitcoin was finally unmasked? The technology magazine Wired says the man behind the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto is a resident scholar in the suburbs of Sydney.

After several years of investigation, doubts and false leads, the mysterious identity of the founder of bitcoin may have finally been revealed. According to the technology magazine Wired and Gizmodo site, the person who created the virtual currency in 2009 is probably an academic of 44 years, resident in the suburbs of Sydney, Australia.

Citing e-mails, ‘posts’ blogs and documents, Wired identifies Craig Steven Wright as the creator bitcoin of the original software under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto.

According to the US publication, Craig Wright’s profile on social networks suggested an enthusiast for virtual currency. The transcript appeared as Executive Director of the DeMorgan, which has carried out investigations into the bitcoin proposed a bank for virtual currency, and offered exchange services.

After several years of mysteries and failed efforts to unmask Nakamoto, many remain skeptical about Wright, who attended recently at a conference on Bitcoin, in Las Vegas, via video conference.

“Wait a minute, who are you?” asked the moderator of the panel, Michele Stevens, when Craig appeared on the screen. “It’s a computer scientist?”

“I’m a little bit of everything,” said Wright. “I have a master’s degree in law … a master’s degree in statistics, a couple of doctorates …”

“How do began to be interested in bitcoin? “the moderator continued, trying to justify Wright’s participation in the debate. “Um … I’ve been involved with all of this for a long time,” said the academic.

According to Wired magazine, is Craig Wright even for the creator of bitcoin, not spent your money an opulent lifestyle. Their home is located in the suburbs of Sydney, in a quiet tree-lined street within 13 kilometers of the business district of the Australian metropolis.

On Wednesday, police raided the residence of Wright-related investigations for tax crimes, officials said, have nothing to do with media reports about links to the academic bitcoin.

After the publication of the article, the information about the educational and professional background which appeared on Linkedin profile that Wired believed to be Steven Craig Wright, have been removed. The person in question also arose as a professor at Charles Sturt University, specializing in cryptography, cybercrime and “wireless hacking.”

However, the communication department of the university did not provide the number of Craig publication, and emails sent to e-mail address have not been delivered.

Despite the evidence presented by the technology magazine, this is not the first time a publication claims to have discovered the mysterious creator of bitcoin.

In a report published last year, Newsweek identified the true Satoshi Nakamoto as a physicist from California, immediately denied this identity.
