“I’d say 95 percent of what we developed for Facebook is also on Facebook at Work,” said Julien Codorniou, director Global platforms of Facebook partnerships, told Reuters.
Facebook at Work, to be released in the coming months, is focused on collaboration in the workplace, into the embattled market careers (where eg, LinkedIn), which moves about six billion dollars a year, the IDC consultant’s accounts.
The model of Facebook at Work is similar to the popular social network, with classic features like the ‘timeline’, the ‘chat’ and ‘like’.
One of the differences is that those who have a Facebook account ‘normal’ can create a special profile on Facebook at Work.
Access will be free, but the company will sell tools at a cost of “a few dollars a month”, for users who wish to access premium services, such as support the customer or analysis tools.
