Telecoms regulator introduces 429 processes – Express

The sector of the communications regulator increased surveillance, and it has also trigger the number of administrative offense processes. ANACOM filed 429 cases in 2015, 83 more than the previous year. An increase of 24%.

The number of cases worked during 2015 amounted to 1352. The proceedings are opened whenever there is evidence of breach of sectoral legislation or decisions of ANACOM by the various market players. These are defaults given the portability rules, audiotext services, value-added services based on sending SMS and other standards for the obligations of service providers.

The regulator led by Fátima Barros also said that the fines amounted to 637,000 euros and stressed that the number of cases increased by 8% to 389.
