Microsoft releases Office for iPhone and iPod Touch - TeK.sapo

Microsoft has released Office Mobile for iPhone and iPod Touch, an adapted version of the productivity suite for Apple’s mobile operating system. For now only the smartphone and media player brand apple is that they have access to the application, getting out of the iPad.

The arrival of the Office Mobile application store of Apple may bring some troubles to multiple users who are interested in software: You must be a subscriber to Office 365 to view and edit documents. When the application is started are requested credentials subscription or the user is invited to join the productivity suite.

The Office interface for iPhone is very similar to the version that exists for Windows Phone and is divided into four main tabs. Recent documents, folders in SkyDrive, create documents and settings are the buttons that make up the main navigation of the app.

SkyDrive is an integral part of the Office for iOS since all these documents and editing is synchronized automatically with other devices via the cloud. You can also edit documents offline, but only those that were recently accessed by the user.

The Mobile Office supports the viewing of documents of Word, Excel and PowerPoint, but only allows you to create files in Word and Excel.

Initially the application will be available to U.S. users, but over the next few weeks should be launched internationally. Office Mobile already supports however the Portuguese language.
