The Polestar developed a performance package for the hybrid version plug-in T8 Twin Engine SUV flagship XC90. The result? The most powerful Volvo ever.

The power increase is not very significant, just 14cv, but enough that the XC90 T8 with Polestar treatment arise with 421 hp and 680 Nm of torque.

The numbers are achieved through a 2.0 turbo engine and compressor 334 hp and 440 Nm engine in combination with an electric motor Plu-in, or connecting to the outlet.

the benefits did not change much: 0 to 100 km / h 0.1s improved to 5.5 seconds, fuel consumption remain at 2.1 l / 100 km, as well as autonomy in electric mode to travel 43 km .

the work of Polestar covers improvements in throttle response, gear changes, speed, accuracy and the introduction of a maintenance function of the engaged gear, curved. The goal is to avoid unwanted speed changes in the middle of a curve, which can negatively affect vehicle performance, allowing better control on driving.

The XC90 Polestar T8 is now available for order. This engine, as well as Polestar preparation should be available soon in the S90 and V90
