The Polestar, Volvo preparation division, has unveiled a new performance package for the sports-utility XC90.
The new configuration of the Volvo XC90 T8 uses the same 2.0-liter turbocharged four cylinder with direct fuel injection, coupled to another electric thruster. The T8 Twin Engine powertrain system that combines a gasoline engine with an electric, is capable of delivering 421 hp, which makes it the most powerful production car the Swedish brand has ever produced.
Despite the power increase, the advertised consumption remained at 2.1 l / 100 km, such as the 43 km of autonomy in all-electric mode.
in addition to the engine, Polestar promoted changes also in throttle response and automatic transmission eight speeds, which retains the gear when the vehicle is rounding a curve with high lateral G-force.
