Facebook already has this attitude for some time because the mobile application no longer allows access to chat, but it should happen in mobile access through the browser.
the Facebook application is a heavy application and consoe that much battery, but many users have decided to uninstall the application because it is no longer possible to access the messages, thanks to Messenger application installation. It was thus an escape, especially for weaker smartphone owners.
However, Facebook seems to really want to force everyone to install Messenger, as just notify users of the social network through the browser on a mobile device indicating that, soon, messages will be accessed via the Messenger application, which will require the installation of the application in any way.
As expected, quickly sounded much criticism, particularly specialized international sites, but it seems that Zuckerber company wants everyone to have an application of them installed on your smartphone, even if it has consequences battery consumption level for users
