iPhone. Forget the slide to unlock – Observer

There for fall, iOS 10 will reach the most iPhones and iPads worldwide. It was officially presented this Monday and there are several new features included in the update – which, incidentally, as summarized here. But there are also some things that will go down in history. One is swiping to unlock the device, which will cease to exist in the next version of the Apple system.

According to CBS News, unlock the devices will be done through fingerprints default form – the so-called TouchID , through which the user presses a finger against the center button of the phone or tablet. Instead of the usual keys to enter the PIN, swiping the screen will give access to the camera application or a panel widgets.

The change is part of remodeling the unlock screen included in iOS 10 which also includes the new notifications . These should also be adapted to the potential of technology 3DTouch , already present in some mobile phones from Apple and that allows new forms of interaction with the device.

The swiping to unlock, known in English by Slide to unlock , is present in iOS since the launch of the first iPhone for almost ten years. Now, in place of the statement, will appear warning Press home to unlock – which in Portuguese means “press [the button] Home to unlock “.
