Google search shows that security questions are … – Portal Communicate

The preferred choice is “In what city were you born?”. In 10 attempts, the chance of success was 6.9%.

Hackers have nearly 20% chance to hit, the first guess, favorite food when done in English. This is because the percentage choosing “pizza” for an answer. Another aggravating point is that at least 37% of internet users provide false combinations, hoping to hinder the entry of an intruder or facilitate his life.

The recommendation is that the sites start to adopt other methods to ensure the security of accounts, such as authentication made by SMS by sending unlock codes and adding secondary emails as a mechanism for resetting passwords .
