GNR has 61 drivers in Operation Bacchus – Digital Journal



 The National Guard stopped on Saturday and Sunday, 61 drivers who circulated with blood alcohol rate equal to or greater than 1.20 grams of alcohol per liter of blood, informed the GNR.

The arrests realizaram- within the framework of “Operation Bacchus”, during which 190 drivers were detected with blood alcohol level higher than allowed by law in 3806 tested drivers, according to a statement from the GNR.

During the operation were detected 479 offenses of which 32 for lack of mandatory periodic inspection 20 related to seat belts and restraint systems for children, 30 poor lighting and signage, 14 lack of insurance and eight mobile phone use during the year of driving.

The 322 enforcement actions were carried out by 881 soldiers from the National Traffic Unit, territorial commands and Intervention Unit, and the same was directed to the ways in which offenses by excess alcohol are more frequent and give rise to an increased risk of traffic accidents (especially in access to nightlife establishments
