Samsung is preparing a new watch with system … – TeK.sapo

The Samsung has made a strong commitment in wearable, having three generations of smart watches, bracelets that monitor the activity of users and now even virtual reality glasses have. But in the field of smartwatches the company may already be preparing a new version with features that attempt to rival the Apple Watch.

The Korea Business publication, quoted by Slashgear, received information from a Samsung executive that the company is working with the PayPal payment system for a new watch. While the giant online trade deals with partnerships and protocols, Samsung is responsible for making all secure environment through the inclusion of a fingerprint reader on the clock.

Neither company has confirmed the rumors by now.

Given the information, it becomes difficult not to see the move as a strategic response from Samsung to Apple and Apple Watch Pay system. If Samsung and other companies – such as Sony and the Pebble – were pioneers in the market of smart watches, Apple seems to have opened a new precedent with the integration of mobile payment systems.

The new watch from Samsung may hit the market in early 2015 – possibly at Mobile World Congress – and little else is known about the alleged equipment. Not even at the operating system level is sure what will be the choice: if Tizen or Android Wear.
