Hackers attack site of the Islamic Community of Lisbon – TVI24

In a message posted on the CIC website, one can read that this web page has been targeted by a “hacker attack, introducing an appealing text jihadist violence.”

“I do not know anyone in our Community or any Muslim resident in Portugal that can have that kind of attitude, looking more like an action of an agent provocateur,” said the president of the Islamic Community of direction, Abdool Vakil, in a message released on the website.

Abdool Vakil stresses that “what is happening [referring to the violence of the self-styled Islamic State] has nothing to do with the Portuguese Muslims and only brings a wrong idea of ​​what actually is Islam “.

“It’s just an attempt to provoke reactions against Muslims and tarnish the image of their religion,” he says.

In the message, Abdool Vakil also stresses that Muslims are “all well integrated into Portuguese society” and defend “a harmony and mutual respect among all religions” by promoting up to ‘frequent dialogues between all of them. ”

The Muslim leader also recalls that “every alleged jihadi mentioned in Portuguese newspapers have lived outside Portugal for some time, before being enticed by these movements.”
