Three and a half years in prison for the nurse of the Hospital de Santo António, Oporto, who was accused of sexual abuse of three patients. The judges chose the actual prison, and not by probation, not to carry into society the idea that they were being lenient is a case that deserves censure.
Mario Dominguez, the nurse at the Hospital of Saint Anthony who was accused of sexual crimes, patients with the same health unit as victims, was sentenced on Thursday to an effective sentence of imprisonment.
The man will have to go to jail (that have no criminal record might mitigate the penalty), since the judges of the Court John S. Novo, Porto, declined to convey a “sign of indulgence”, a particularly serious crime.
The nurse has no criminal record and the penalty is less than five years, which could lead judges to mitigate the penalty. But the health worker was sentenced to a term of actual imprisonment.
The sexual abuse were between the years 2010 and 2011, and victims three women who were hospitalized at the hospital of Porto.
