Collective bargaining: UGT suggests comparison with pre-troika period – TVI24

The president of UGT depreciated on Tuesday the data pointing to an increase in collective bargaining in 2013, compared to 2011 figures, arguing that the comparison should be made with a “normal” year of the pre-troika period.

“If we compare 2013 with 2011, there are actually some increase, but our reference can not be the year 2011 that was the worst, you must be a reference in that collective negotiations were normally, before the intervention of the ‘troika’, in the period before the crisis, “stressed Lucinda Damaso at the entrance to a meeting of the Social Dialogue in which the subject will be discussed, quoted by Lusa.

The Government and the social partners today discuss the evolution of collective bargaining, based on 2014 data, referring to the publication of 161 collective agreements covering 246,643 workers for others.

According to an analysis document that the Government sent the social partners, to which Lusa had access, the 161 Collective Regulation Instruments Working (ESRD) published last year, representing an increase of 66% compared to 2013, and an approach to the 2011 values, when it was published 182 collective agreements.

The UGT leader argued that the year 2008, “held within the normal range”, is to be considered as a reference.

“While there are thousands of workers who are unprotected for us is serious and therefore we will have to increase hiring and negotiation,” he added.

On amendments to the Labor Compensation Fund and Working Compensation Guarantee, Lucinda Damaso sent comments to later “for not yet having nothing concrete ‘, but left in the air the opposition to the proposal of UGT confederations employers to exclude contracts of three months of access to the fund.
