Prosecutor (MP) today called for the acquittal of the three accused Taguspark process, considering that there was no proof for the crime of corruption tort.
During closing arguments, the prosecutor Luis Eloy MP explained that, throughout the trial, it was proved the involvement of the three defendants in a strategic plan that aimed to use the technological center of Oeiras to pay compensations to Luís Figo, the support the campaign of José Sócrates, then leader of the Socialist Party in the 2009 legislative.
Taguspark process are concerned, according to the indictment, the alleged counterparts technological center have given, through the former director Rui Pedro Soares, the former footballer Luis Figo, support for this campaign José Sócrates, then Prime Minister and General Secretary of the Socialist Party in the elections of September 2009.
