Executive Microsoft said users had difficulties in navigating the operating system
São Paulo – The Revolution interface proposed by Microsoft with Windows 8 may not have achieved the results expected by the company. On Tuesday, in an interview with the Financial Times, an executive of the company said that many users have experienced a number of difficulties with the new navigation method, which will result in changes to “key elements” in the next update operating system.
Tami Reller, chief marketing and finance from Microsoft did not disclose details of the changes to be made in Windows 8. However, she acknowledged that the old platform users had difficulties in adapting to the changes and did not have the proper support to “relearn” to use the system.
She also said that the company “could and should have done more” to the touchscreen computer market became more attractive, which would help in the acceptance of Windows 8. According to Reller, satisfaction of consumers who use the platform in touch-screen devices is high.
For specialists, updating sensitive aspects of the system is an indication that Microsoft has failed in an attempt to change the experience of PC users, with the use of elements that refer to the navigation on tablets.
Lacy in October 2012, Windows 8 was a gamble to try Microsoft’s answer to the success of the iPad. Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, has criticized the operating system of its competitor, saying that “It is possible to join a toaster and a refrigerator in a single device, but probably it will not be pleasant for the user.”
