FAO acknowledged the work of Fidel Castro to end hunger ... - Digital Diary

The director general of the United Nations Organization for Food and Agriculture (FAO) today recognized the Cuban leader Fidel Castro achieving the goal proposed by the agency for the eradication of hunger on the island, state television reported.

José Graziano da Silva sent to Fidel Castro and the Cuban people a letter by “important milestone” of Cuba have failed to meet the target set in advance by the Annual Meeting of the FAO in Rome in 1996 where it was proposed to halve the number of people malnourished in each country by the end of 2015.
